Greetings, bird enthusiasts! I’m Francesco Stuppello, hailing from the quaint town of Tortora in Calabria. Since 2010, I’ve called Acquappesa home, where I reside with my wife Annamaria and our delightful daughter Aurora. Nestled in the picturesque countryside of the Coastal Chain, our residence offers breathtaking views of the Aeolian archipelago and, on exceptionally clear days, the coasts of Sicily and the majestic Mount Etna.

A Life Devoted to Black-Headed Siskins

Breeding Passion

My avian journey is marked by a profound passion for black-headed siskins. Whether albino, ancestral, brown, topaz, or diluted (single and double factor), each feathered friend holds a special place in my heart.

F.O.I. Breeder since 2002

As an avid breeder, I proudly bear the title of an F.O.I. (Federazione Ornicoltori Italiani) breeder since 2002. Additionally, I became a member of the esteemed Amantia Ornithological Association in 2020.

Remarkable Achievements

In the span of two decades, from 2002 to 2022, I have showcased a total of 511 single subjects and 35 stamms, earning a remarkable track record. The accolades include 176 first-place finishes, 115 second places, 38 third places, 8 breed champions, and 14 special prizes.

Triumphs in Ornithological Competitions

My participation in major competitions has yielded an impressive collection of awards, including:

  • World Championships: 7 medals
  • Italian Championships: 17 medals
  • International Exhibitions: 29 medals
  • Interregional Championships: 7 medals
  • Regional Championships: 32 medals
  • Fringillia: 44 medals
  • Finches Show: 85 medals
  • Other Ornithological Exhibitions: 108 medals

These achievements stand testament to my dedication, expertise, and love for the avian world. Join me on this captivating journey as I continue to nurture and celebrate the beauty of black-headed siskins.

Feel free to reach out, and let’s share our love for these enchanting birds!
